Balanced Man Scholarship
Sigma Phi Epsilon annually recognizes incoming male Colorado State University students who fit the Balanced Man Ideal with a scholarship award.
CSU’s local chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) has established the Balanced Man Scholarship
(BMS) to seek Colorado State’s finest men, who exhibit overall excellence. Candidates should follow
the model established by SigEp’s Balanced Man Program, which encourages a balanced lifestyle. By
adhering to the ideals of Sound Mind and Sound Body, we feel these young men distinguish themselves
as models to be emulated. A further respect for the Fraternity’s core values of VITRUE, DILIGENCE
and BROTHERLY LOVE will further distinguish exceptional candidates. The BMS will be used to award
these fine young men for their outstanding achievements regardless of their decision to join the chapter.
The award is given based on the areas that are promoted within the Balanced Man ideal that the
Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity strives for: Academics, Leadership, Athletic Achievement, and Community Service.
